Volvo V40
- The Volvo V40 entry level luxury hatchback is a quality offering to entice the Indian customers.
- The Volvo V40 luxury hatchback is essentially the V40 Cross Country sans the rugged styling features. Thus, it ditches the SUV cosmetic features to adopt a hatchback visual, while the ground clearance is reduced as well.

3. The Volvo V40 is powered by a 5-cylinder, 2 liter diesel engine which can deliver a max power of 150 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm.
4. Volvo’s direct rival to the comparison of Mercedes-Benz A-Class and BMW 1-Series, the V40 forms the basis for its Cross Country. It is a fantastic looking car and in this dazzling red shade.
Exteriors
Hatch’s design is essentially the same as the Cross Country version, sans the body cladding. To put briefly – there’s no cladding, no unnecessarily raised stance and no pretentious off-road capability to boast off.

It gets the same dropping nose, leading into a rising and broad shoulder that eventually culminates into a coupe-like rear. There’s a certain gorgeousness to the whole design, but the most alluring bits are persevered for the rear. The part-glass boot lid, sporty bumper with silver inserts and twin exhaust pipes looks charismatic.

The top-end R-Design trim which packs some special elements including a glossy R-Design radiator grille, sexy two-tone 17-inch wheels.
Interiors

Interiors of the V40 aren’t quite as radical as the exterior design. Like all other R-Design Volvos, it also gets an all-black theme with chrome inserts and ritzy double stitching on the steering, gear lever, handbrake and seats. Volvo’s trademark floating centre console continues to impress and so as the simplistic dash design.
Engine & performance

Now comes with Volvo’s modern Drive-E 4-cylinder engines, the India-spec V40 still gets the older five-cylinder mill. The 2-litre unit puts out a total of 148 horses and a good 350 Newtons of twist – more than any other offering in the segment and cracks a ton in shade above 9 seconds.
Volvo S90
The Volvo S90, in the Indian market in its fully-loaded Inscription trim. The sedan, similar to the entire Volvo product line-up, would be retailed as CBU in the Indian market. It comes loaded with a plethora of premium features, while the exterior styling takes cues from Volvo’s latest Scandinavian design language, which has already been seen on the all-new XC90 SUV. For the time being, it has been launched in the diesel fuel trim only as the petrol variant is expected to launch next year.
